Position requires a skilled professional with experience in negotiation & strategic planning experience to develop specific commodity & supplier strategies to achieve short term and long term business goals.
Successful candidate will:
. Develops practical and innovative ways to identify and meet goals.
. Be responsible for work that is less defined in scope and has the understanding and experience to execute business objectives.
· Understand and develop strategies for assigned commodities / products and proactively drive initiatives to meet Sourcing objectives.
· Identify, develop and qualify new suppliers to support low cost region sourcing strategies
· Assess supplier capabilities and make recommendations on supplier acceptability.
· Implement sourcing standards including process & execution, synergies for cost out.
· Drive productivity opportunities with supply base to deliver cost out goals.
· Analyze and track supplier performance
· Hold regular reviews with suppliers and develop telephone log of actions and conversations with suppliers.
· Drive effective recovery plans
· Develop process to look upstream for pending requirements and drive Engineering, Manufacturing, and Sales in order to ensure sourcing given adequate cycle to procure material.
. Reviews product design for compliance with engineering principals, company standards and customer contract requirements and related specifications
. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, cost controls and resolving engineering design and test problems

.5 + yrs experience in souring function, hands-on experience in supplier development and quality or supplier technical development preferred
.SAP knowledge

.Strong interpersonal / facilitation skills
