Part 1. Describe the Position Summary: (1) Job Purpose: One-sentence description of the overall purpose/mission of the job; the rationale of why the job exists and how it contributes to the company. (2) Goals and Objectives: Several bullet points for setting performance objectives. As development engineer, assist project managers reach company goals, finishing projects on time by offering technical supports, like calculations, detailed analysis, testing and production of Pro/E models and drawings. A) List the essential functions and major activities in order of their importance. • Develop the centrifugal pump and mixer new product. • As tech expert in CTC, review and give tech guidance/comments on project designs, solutions ( pumps and systems) , and assessments. Responsible for design quality. • Assist junior engineers to analyze and solve problems ( design, manufacturing, assembling and testing). • Coach junior engineers to increase team capability. Responsible for growing together with team technically. • Familiar with product development processes, design tools, and project management. • Design complex machine components and/or systems using standard design procedures. • Conduct component and/or system analysis using computer simulation and/or laboratory testing. • Prepare reports and recommend future actions for specific aspects of development projects • Using established procedures & working under supervision, performs assigned tasks. • Evaluation, originality or ingenuity is required. • Work may be routine with detailed instruction, progressing to varied and somewhat difficult in character. • Manage specific aspects of larger development projects. • Design complex laboratory experiments and supervise others in conducting tests • Participate as technical representative on interdepartmental teams (e.g. – Black Belt projects, Pro/E Users’ Group, etc.). Part 2. Describe the Person A) Minimum professional and educational background desired (include years of experience). (1) Key technical skills and knowledge. Performance Measures/ KPIs • BS Degree above in Hydraulic Mechanical and/or Mechanical Engineering. Centrifugal pump design with hydraulic knowledge are requested. Mixer design experiences are preferred. • 4 years above in product design and 4 years plus in leading team for pump design and system solution offerings. • Know & use the fundamental concepts, practices & procedures of particular field of specification. • Proficient in Pro/E and related tool suites. • Knowledge of foundry, machining and fabrication processes. • Knowledge of international & industry standards. • Able to work independently. • Project management skills. • Problem-solving and analytical skills. • Interpersonal and communication skills. • Willing to learn anything new. • Good team player. • DFEMA and PFEMA knowledge. • Oral English and written English is proficient B) Describe the most important Leadership competencies required of the individual. (5-8 competencies from VBLD, TOP 3 are mandatory competencies) (1) Include the competencies identified for the position that differentiate superior performance.
